actually i specifically recall him chasing a couple of hits by kris srikant in the ODI series (aus, ind, w.i.) prior the 1992 world cup. india lost that match, quite disastrously mind you, but as a 9 year old, watching boon hopelessly chase the balls to the boundary made for entertaining cricket. especially the jiggling belly as the fat fracker ran as fast as his stumpy legs would carry him.

For a 'fat fracker', he was one hell of a batsman with guts and steel against some seriously nasty attacks, and a hell of a man to have at short leg.
