Legally like it or not they do have a case. It boils down to arbitrary termination. a) IPL states it has no problems allowing Pak players to play. b) Pak government in a move of reciprocity banned them from playing in India. c) The IPL terminates selective contracts of Pak players .(not all) d) IPL backfills open slots with funds from the contractual release of Pak players. Now the only point of merit to their case is if #c can be qualified. Now if they had terminated all contracts that will be clearer case but Modi and IPL terminated only select contracts, this will cause a headache. BTW did you know that Sohail Tanveer wants an increase from his franchise in the current muck?

They will not be able to make any point because their govt. initially barred them from appearing in IPL.. and the most funny thing is that they will leave a message to the world that they are cheap beggars if they even try to file a case Yes Sohail Tanveer is supposedly saying RR should increase his contract money ... but he perhaps at the bottom when RR hired him and now after IPL he is again at the bottom .. and let him first make to IPL instead of demanding an increase in contract money :giggle:

A contract cannot be broken because a country barred them from playing. The contract was for a period of 3 years, hence if they cant play this year the contract will last till next year. Now if theres an addendum that specifically states that if they are available and yet arent able to make it then their contracts can be terminated then IPL wins handily. Either way I dont want a penny going from our land to that shytehole, i wouldnt mind if some lawyer babu fleeces them of their earnings by way of court fees, hopefully he'll ask for payment upfront.
