Endulkar anyone? This forum was a sight to behold at that time with so much expertise going around.

This is nothing though compared to the way a lot of us reacted once SRT scored that epic 42nd ODI ton at Sydney... what an innings that was (especially after some of the excessively OTT trashings by certain fans here.)

Indeed, what these so called experts did is inexcusable. Most of them are/were much lesser cricketers compared to Tendulkar and when they comment, somewhere they reflect an inferiority complex that has stayed in their subconscious minds for a long time. People like Kapil Dev need to understand that their comments carry a certain weightage and need to think before speaking. Especially when they speak ill of a cricketer much bigger than themselves.

Kapil's contributions to Indian cricket are enormous. For his time, he was a great and awesome player. But agreed with the rest of the post.
