Nobody is debating the greatness of the man or his performances in the past. He is a living legend and there are no two things about it. BUT' date=' his current performances does not merit him a place in the ODI team and he has done no favors to himself or Team India by failing in key matches. [b']Send him back to FC cricket and ask him to get back into the team on the weight of his performances. Werent players like Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman, Kumble all dropped at some point or the other when it warranted? Why the fuss when it comes to SRT? Why the special treatment?

wow it feels unbelievable to come across so many posters who had written off Tendulkar 4 years ago but just look at the greatness of the little Master , he struggled , fought his way back against all odds and has been giving tremendous performances in last 3 years . His criticism was very popular among Pk fans as well who were calling for his head but Tendulkar made each of them eat humble pie . Only a true champion can come from a situation that Tendulkar has , his true fans never doubted his abilities and deep down we all knew that its just a rough patch and Tendulkar will bounce back . He literally proved all his critics wrong in the last 3 years whether they were Indians , Pakistanis or Arrogant Chappel and other cricket wannabe experts

i have not known an indian team without tendulkar so it would be a sad day when he does indeed retire but the day a batsman uses words and not bat to shut his critics, he should just sit back and evaluate the whole situation. Sachin of late has been doing a lot of talking, and sadly if a 50 against bermuda or a lucky 100 against WI is all he can show then maybe its time. Yes Sachin will bounce back, he will have a great series or two but he will never be as consistant as he till 3 yrs ago. I just hope Sachin doesnt become a burden on the team as few past greats.

Bossbhai still defending Sachin even at one of the lowest points in his career. :hail: :hail: True fan
Some of us were always defending him because we had seen what he was and what he had contributed to the country. But the sad fact was despite him failing around that time when he was at his lowest form, he still was performing more than most in the team and so the cry for him to be dropped was some of the worst things you can see from an Indian fan
