Guest dada_rocks
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/RSS_bats_for_Team_India_/articleshow/1847126.cms NEW DELHI: In the funereal atmosphere built around Team India?s dismal showing at the World Cup, the beleaguered cricketers have received words of support from an unusual quarter - the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh. Sachin and Rahul have reason to allow themselves a smile when the Sangh asks those who frown at them to introspect on whether they themselves have won every match in their life. An editorial in the latest issue of the weekly Panchjanya has ridiculed the ?childish? and obsessive way people in the country make cricket a life-and-death issue, dragging the 11 players of the team from heroes to zeroes in a trice and even committing suicide over losing a game. ?Is losing so bad...Is the country hanging on the performance of a team of 11?? the RSS has asked, exhorting those who ?expect them to always win to look within and see whether they themselves have always been successful?. Also, to ask themselves whether every time they failed, was it willfully to aid some kind of betting scheme, as the cricket team is accused of doing in the wake of every loss. It has also lashed out at the media for its role in driving the frenzy and hyped expectations from the cricket team, asking whether there are not enough serious issues like ?the victimisation of Hindus in Kashmir, terrorism and the reservation fire.? A ?Macaulay-inspired clique? that has money and the media under its control is to blame for creating much hullabaloo about a game played by 11 Indians, the RSS has said. Clearly a good turn begets one. A few months earlier, it was Rahul Dravid who had lent celebrity support to the RSS at its Suryanamaskar camps, asking people to practice the Yoga Link to comment

How can someone find this kind of solution for a failure. Indian team is one of the well trained and well equiped teams and sure the money is being generated through sponsorship but it goes into the training of the team. They players are well compensated for the effort that they put in. Now Dravid embracing Yoga has nothing to do with RSS. Someone at RSS was looking for cheap publicity here. Link to comment

They are not proposing any solutions ... did you even read what they were saying ? Indian team is one of the well trained and well equiped teams and sure the money is being generated through sponsorship but it goes into the training of the team. They players are well compensated for the effort that they put in Are you saying More $$$ = More Success % ? Now Dravid embracing Yoga has nothing to do with RSS Where does it say otherwise (in the article) ? RSS has to be chastised one way or another if that demands not reading the article so be it :lmao: Link to comment

dial_100
Re: RSS BATS FOR TEAM INDIA I agree with BBhai here. If we want to blame some1, its baised to only single out some1. To some extend even their extremism can be justified that, this is the only country for hindus and their views, their sentiments are always compromised as against so call minorities who always have been pampered by some national parties. If RSS takes the side of majority doesn't mean they are extremist and facist. I think they are quite well known in our country. They dont need a publicity at all. These days media even is going after family/friends of the players, so view RSS is not an ordinary one for media. Link to comment
