hari504504 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Gayle please get the 400..this match is a definite draw regardless of any declaration..just pile-up like 2000 runs .. nice slap in the face of the curator
DomainK Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Superb Player. At one point I thought he was going to cross 300 at a better SR than Viru's (SA). But that is not so easy. I am rooting for him. Hope he gets 400.
hari504504 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Gayle has more power than Sehwag Sehwag has more class than Gayle. And since Class > Power, Sehwag > Gayle. Both the scariest batsmen for any bowler currently... wonder if we can see an opening Sehwag-Gayle combo in IPL after the auctions next year
kabira Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Galle by no means is flat track, more like result pitches so far. But thsi is month of November, so not sure. Else it always had something for bowlers
diegovegaz Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 gayle giving the SL bowlers what they deserve
hari504504 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Can Gayle breach 400 today ? ?.. entirely possible ..30 overs to play..
DomainK Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Very soon Gayle is going to find himself in a difficult position. Bat on for 400 or declare and press for a result? I think he will find it very difficult to bat on after 650. WI is 100 short of that and Gayle is 70 short of his 400. If his partner does not score too many, Gayle might get there.
hari504504 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 press for a result? On this pitch..they'll have to play a 10-day test to get a result..Gayle should just soldier on till even a no.11 scores a 50 for them
gaurav92 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 The track is not a Hyderabadi track, but since Windies have more than 600 in the kitty, they should try and knock these Lankans over by bowling them out twice before they get the lead.
DomainK Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Gone. Brilliant delivery from Mendis. The innings comes to an end. A great innings never the less.
DomainK Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 On this pitch..they'll have to play a 10-day test to get a result..Gayle should just soldier on till even a no.11 scores a 50 for them Yes, the pitch is very flat. But a captain just can not play assuming that cant win. He has to give his bowlers a reasonable chance to win it. Many times oppositions crumble under a heavy first innings score. A team has to try.
