King Tendulkar Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 and get butchered the next day?.. Exactly:hysterical:
hassan_113 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It is true that some Indian Muslims support Pakistan. One educated guy I knew said they would support India and halfway during match with some of the really bad chanting from India fans, he and his dad'd end up supporting Pakistan! But that's different...a guy in Bangalore said to me that he loved Pakistan and the likes of Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar and how they were his favourite team- needless to say this shocked the people that were with me. I don't claim to know the ins and outs of things, but India seemed like a peaceful place to me with Hindus and Muslims having shops side by side and happy :D
nikred Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 The difference that I saw was Poverty and illiteracy .. Most muslims in Zakir nagar , moradabad and meerut were from poor backgrounds and they blame Hindus for their condition, you will never meet an Indian educated muslim who would support Pakistan over India ... at least I havent met one I have a friend here in US, who is a gujju muslim. That guy openly says he hates the gujju hindus (maybe he put the tag gujjus cos he was saying it to me) and when there is Indo-pak match he supports Pakistan. I felt a little disturbed hearing that. But I am glad most of my hyderabadi muslim friends don't think that way.:((

To be fair its quite common for muslims not ot be loyal to their country and instead worry abouth Islam first and have loyalties elsewhere. In fact IMO a lot of muslims hate the country they are living in and are anti that country unless the muslims are the majority population and in control of the country. Clealry some muslims will view pakistan as a muslim country and so support them!

THX_1138 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 See the description of the video. And the author of the video herself mentions (in the comments) she is Indian muslim' date=' Kashmiri to be precise and living in India. On the youtube page of the author [url']http://www.youtube.com/user/imsabbah you will find another video of a waterfall in Tamil Nadu. Anyway I have seen muslims in India celebrating pakistan's win in WC 1992, 17 years ago, but I remember it as if it were yesterday. It was in Mumbai and a year later that area was engulfed in riots. considering the size of the stinkers you crap out... your bunghole must be quite loose by now. no wonder you never have problems with flatulence.
THX_1138 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I am an American and i support the Indian cricket team, heck i support everything Indian. I guess by seedhi's logic i should be locked up in Guantanamo? And yeah if i were sent there, i promise you, i would fracking kill every radical ***** who would dare mention one shyte about either of my two countries. People identify with a particular nationality on the basis of certain cultural and linguistic similarities. Kashmiris are unable to identify with the rest of India on either of those two grounds. Not to mention the whole separatist movement that sours the relationship even more. Heck, if they support the Mullahs, let them! Its not like they pay their income tax in Islamabad or send remittances to Pakistan, or buy pakistani made goods!
THX_1138 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 With crackers, religious chants and festivities as if it were diwali or eid? I am not being judgmental, but I wouldnt do it. well it wont make your dick any smaller... lighten up.
THX_1138 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I lived in Hyderabad for many years and based on experience I can easily say that over 80% of muslims in hyd support pak over india in cricket. I studied in one minority college for couple of years (it constitutes 50% muslims, 50% hindus) run my muslim coummunity and I had quite a few arguments with some of them for supporting PAK....needless to say whenever PAK defeated India, muslims of old city in hyd celebrates with fire crackers, etc. I can't speak of muslims from other states but it amazes me how some of the posters here are completely ignorant and believe that all Indian muslims are loyal to Indian cricket team. my dad and grandpa have mentioned similar incidents in agra, uttar pradesh, though the incidents were limited to the seedy, ultra poor and despotic neighborhoods of agra where the local populace, overwhelmingly sunni muslim would rally behind their local clerics on all matters. heck, my grandpa himself witnessed an incident where the municipal department was not permitted to install a handpump without the cleric's approval. furthermore, if one was to go back further in time, to the post partition era, when my dad's family migrated from karachi to agra, my great grandfather bought a small hotel/restraunt on the periphery of such a neighborhood. during one of the particularly brutal riots, the knives were out and my grandfather once witnessed an incident where a crowd of 50 odd mullahs with beards longer than their arms and nothing but a checkered skirt around their waists were jostling outside the hotel owned by my grandfather. most had long knives and some were carrying menacing kitchenware. incidently, my grandfather's family lived in a house above the hotel, and there was only one access to the higher floors: a narrow flight of stairs. my grandfather recalls that my great grandfather who ran an 'akhada' (wrestling ground) in Karachi, and was quite a well built man, sat bare chested in a bamboo chair with a old curtain rod in one hand, blocking access to the staircase! incidently a couple of guys did try to rush him and one of them even stabbed him in his thigh (he would later suffer a slight limp for the rest of his life), but none managed to pass him. thankfully cooler heads prevailed. my grandfather's neighbors were muslim but a lot more moderate and they intervened to help dissipate the crowd. when my grandfather told me this story, i could sense that he was reliving the horrors of that particular time and the anxiety a 12 year old experiences when faced with the possibility that he might witness his father die, and subsequently might meed his own maker. nonetheless, the man has not once taught me to hate, or expressed any resentment, dislike towards muslims. if and individual with such experiences can advocate coexistence, tolerance and cooperation, i fail to see what is seedhi's malfunction.

[b']I guess by seedhi's logic i should be locked up in Guantanamo? Instead of indulging in irrelevant mudslinging, would you first care to point out where I have, in this thread, at anytime stated that muslims should be locked up for supporting pakistan. I challenge you, go through all my posts in this thread and quote any statement I have made supporting boycott, harassment or persecution of muslims. All I have said is that I have seen Indian muslims supporting pakistan, something that has also been observed by several other members who have posted on this thread.

When have I advocated against coexistence, tolerance and cooperation?? Are you sure you are reading my posts in this thread and not someone else's?

All I have said is that I have seen Indian muslims supporting pakistan, something that has also been observed by several other members who have posted on this thread. you are a bit like that instigator who brings forth unpopular and often improper subjects, bring forth dissenting views, tosses in a healthy dose of igniter liquid... and then waits for a spark. you belong the category of attention seeking dickweeds such as rush limbaugh, sean hannity, bill o'reilly. bill o never called for the murder of dr. tiller, he never called for hurting him... but his rhetoric stopped short of calling for dr. tiller's head. legally immune, he can now sit in his palatial house and smirk at a good day's work. heck, hitler never called for killing jews. he simply mentioned that they were scum. that they stole. that they were the bane of ever german's existence. i guess he was innocent too then eh? ask yourself this: was there a particular need to derail this thread with the whole indian muslims supporting pakistan discussion? and if such individuals do exist, are they are security threat untill they lift weapons? can their cricket loyalties change where they file their taxes, where they work, where they buy groceries, what country's goods they purchase and finally, what country they are citizens of? no it does not. and those few who tried to violate any of the above, well they end up in the cross hairs of the trigger happy fuzz.

In any case, I dont see any relevance of these questions to an objective discussion about whether some Indian muslims do support pakistan in cricket. I also find it amusing that you choose to respond to me, while there are other posts on this thread which are far more contrary to your convictions.
EnterTheVoid Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 My first and only post in this thread: *sigh* Let them support whoever they want. Cant force anyone On the topic of whose banned and whose not, is Amit temporarily / permanently banned ? Why

youngindia Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 To be fair its quite common for muslims not ot be loyal to their country and instead worry abouth Islam first and have loyalties elsewhere. [\QUOTE] rofl! the sangh equates communalism with nationalism. yet you have no shame saying others worry about religion first. what s the hindutva gang all about? are you a buffoon working in a circus? the conmen savarkar and golwalkar are only imitating what they feel are the enemy's strengths (organised religion ) how does loyalty to communalism make rss patriotic? Also the sanghis and co run campaigns and "funding" for bangladeshi hindus when millions of our people can't subsist. jaswant regretted that nepal was no more a "hindu state". how do we know when sania plays a pakistani hindu, where would a true hindutvadi's heart lie? the rss has called indian constituion a "piece of toilet paper" in the past. the sangh parivar worshsips a shameful traitor savarkar who offered unconditional surrender to the british and also called for muslim women to be raped. The rss and hindu mahasabha never conducted one major agitation vs the british.for the sangh, the enemies were indian muslims and christians. before you illmotivated lot , cast aspersions on indian muslims, look at the mirror first. your chief priest savarkar is at the forefront of traitors.:--D
