Champions Defending VS Winning

It was constantly said that we 'Champions' are going there to defend our trophy. Of course this is correct however what it meant that we forget we are going there to win it again rather than just believing in our past achievement. It was this which created that hype by our wonderful media who begin the campaign on how can India defend the title, how the other teams are bad, our balanced side and the Yuvraj 6 sixes. All this meant that we were rather concerned on how not to lose it rather than how to win it first. Now our media are saying how unbalanced our side is, our inspirational captain has turned rubbish after this WC. And please no excuses like IPL.. we lost and we should learn to not hype ourselves which would give us false hopes. Blame ourselves on why did we create such hype and lived in the past glory and overconfidence that now we cannot accept a minor setback in what has been a great dhoni led team. Another fact in benitez style is that we have never been known to perform well when we have lots of expectations. So blame should be on US.
