^ Yeah, wonder what the Man City team will look like, This is a bit nuts, at least one player too many and there are simply not going to settle down in a season Hart---Boateng,Lescott,Toure,Kolarov --- Milner, Yaya, Barry--- Silva, Adebayor, Tevez Is the likely starting 11..or thats what it should be... So leaves out 20+ mill signins Balotelli, no Johnson who is not half bad, De Jong who was a WC finalist...

Man City will have an headache with the new rules in place. There aren't many under 21's in their squad btw.

then that other rule of 6 english / players who have learnt their trade in english academy.
It's eight actually.
Eight of those players must be "home-grown", in that they must have been developed for at least three years by an English or Welsh club before their 21st birthday. They can name a limitless list of players under 21.

..and don't forget Sergio Canales. The kid is real quality. But I am not sure if they will loan him out, now that they have signed Ozil.

Manchester City are looking to sell outcast Robinho to Bundesliga side Schalke 04 in order to finance a move for Benfica defender David Luiz, according to reports. "Benfica have requested £33m for Brazil international defender Luiz, hoping that City and Chelsea will battle each other in an expensive fight for the star centre-back." £33m for a defender is crazy money. http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/08/17/2074333/manchester-city-hoping-to-sell-robinho-to-schalke-in-order

^ Haha... Indeed. Though there were extenuating circumstances with Ozil he was nearing the end of his contract and any offer around 15 mill would have been heard. He wanted Real, so off he went. City probably do need a CB to be fair. but not necessarily a 30 mill one.

Yet another French signing for Arsenal... French defender Sebastien Squillaci was last night pulled out of Sevilla's Champions League qualifier in the hopes of securing a move to Arsenal. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have made a move for the 30-year-old France international who has 20 caps. Sevilla would not want to jeopardise a deal by leaving him European cup tied and French TV station Canal Plus last night reported that Arsenal were discussing a move for the combative centre half. Arsenal have missed out on Everton's Phil Jagielka and Werder Bremen's Per Mertesacker and Wenger is determined to bring in experienced defensive cover. Wenger lost William Gallas, Philippe Senderos and Mikael Silvestre in the summer and has only brought in Laurent Koscielny from Lorient for £8m. RM need a striker........they only have Higuain.benzema sucks......
If you are talking about an out-and-out striker, yes, they need one. But there is enough attacking options in the MF already - CR, Di Maria, Van der Vaart, Ozil, Canales, Pedro, and Granero - that they need not sign a CF. Moreover, Mourinho never plays the conventional 4-4-2. He prefers the 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-1-3 (which he used with Inter) formations which don't demand a third striker in the squad.
