King Tendulkar Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 English willow is much better. But for an 8 year old child Kashmir willow is more then ok and will be cheaper.

King Tendulkar Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 thanks! does it need to be a specific length/weight etc?? Well its obviously got to be small as he is only 8. I am sure in the shop it will have guidelines for children of different ages. Probably a good place to go to buy a bat for an 8 year old(although I would never buy a bat from there) is a big commercial shop like Lillywhites. As they have wide selection of cheap cricket gear and cater a lot for kids. I say Lillywhites as am sure its probably a shop you may know!

CricketGirl Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Why are you giving him a Bat' date=' then ? :dontknow:[/quote'] he says plastic bats are for babies! :nervous: because he wants to polish up his batting skills i personally think he is doing fine he's only 8 but wants to be good at everything! his bowling is excellent for his age to a degree that he argues with his coach! he hates using the kids plastic balls he prefers using the real ones!
