Rising star Virat Kohli (who i mentioned in THIS thread) made a solid 42. Chawla wicketless so far. Bengal vs Mumbai - 163/1 after 62 overs. Powar wicketless so far. Ganguly obviously isn't playing and Deep DropGupta is the captain. Karnataka vs Haryana - 205/6. Uthappa scored 56 off 76. Rising star Chipli out for a duck. 3 wickets for the ever-so-consistent Joginder Sharma Gujarat vs Punjab - 163/7. Parthiv Patel out for 5. Gagandeep Singh bowls 7 of his 16 overs for maidens, but has just 1 wicket. Rising star Rajesh Sharma has taken just 1 wicket from his 13 overs. Rajasthan vs Hyderabad - 186/3. Rayudu scored 62 off 85. No wickets for Kabir Ali. Solanki is playing. Baroda vs Saurashtra - 190/2. Nothing exceptional to speak of. Connor Williams got a hundred, Jacob Martin on 56*. Funnily enough, they both played matches in India's tour to SA back in '01. Williams scored a neat 30 odd in the unofficial test, and Martin played in the ODI's - i remember his boring innings in the defeat to Kenya at PE. TN vs Andra - 198/2. Rising star Vidyut out for 13. Badrinath out for 69 off 139. Badani on 22*. Both Venugopal and YoMahesh are playing.

Re: Ranji Trophy - Dec 1st - 4th it is very heartening to see Chopra come good, Sooda.... and tht too at good SR... he was one of the key members to our overseas success 2-3 yrs back... gambhir and jaffer are jus pretenders, when it comes to taking on real fast bowling, with swing, and seam on fast pitches.... I would like to see Chopra as a permanent fixture in our test squad, if he shines consistently this season with SR 50+
