You know what. T20 is generally popular among cricket illiterates in India where they don't have to understand more than sixes, fours, bowled, caught etc. They have no idea about domestic cricket or even their teams. These kind of people are struggling to understand this concept of CL. They just don't know why there are two teams in which some Australians are playing and some of the players they don't even know. It is kind of really funny. And perhaps this is the reason why we've seen a poor response for this tournament so far.

what is that ODI's offer more in terms of rules .. its all the same buddy .. regarding the CL response , i think it's good overall.. also TV ratings are good ..

Well, between the music, fireworks, dancers, cheerleaders and idiotic commentators who shill products more than they highlight matches, it's obviously targeting casual fans or those who know very little about the game, and not the serious fans who can and will appreciate a classy innings or great spell of bowling for what it is. Appeal to the lowest common denominator and get the biggest following.
