jhakati Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 i feel for nehra he is a very good bowler and i don't think we should judge him based on just a single over
b555 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Looking at the avg cricket fans response at this loss, I am glad we lost .... Hopefully the team will lose to WI too and then qualify for QF based on NRR, that should keep many of these fans under extra pressure :giggle: Would be fun to read more bench racer analysis and complaining threads :P but not feeling like overdose already? i surely agree i have opened one such thread without u stating it :--D
Little_Master Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Dhoni has become too arrogant for India's good. He will ensure that we go down in this WC. Not sure where his arrogance stems from though - his team has only defeated Ireland' date=' Netherlands, and Bangladesh until now.[/quote'] +1

riwi999 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I don't understand a few things here. 1) The defence of Nehra using the line "nowadays which bowler does not go for 14 runs". That is precisely why you are given the death over in a World Cup game. NOT to go for 14 runs. 2) The defence of Nehra that "if Bhajji would have bowled, he'd had gone for 14 too and then we'd have said the ball should have been given to Nehra". No, we would not. We already said before the ball was handed to Nehra that it was a mistake. So it is not hindsight 20/20 situation. 3) The defence of Dhoni for this particular decision. Let's face it, all along Nehra was bowling crap today. On top of that, he was also not having luck. In contrast, Bhajji was bowling really well today. It was a no-brainer for Dhoni to toss the ball to Bhajji. He did not do that. That was very poor judgement from the captain. Let's not insult millions of cricket fans' knowledge by defending Dhoni's decision and Nehra's bowling. Today both sucked and it is only fair that fans are allowed to express their unhappiness about this. When they do well, fans also give them a lot of credit so it is not about the person, it is about their actions on a particular day.
Square Drive Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 The complaining brigade are out w/ their knives :giggle: .... If Bhajji had bowled that over, we would have had a similar thread for him too Fans should learn to accept this is what cricket is: there would be bad balls, bad shots, bad fielding, etc. It's part of the game .... Move on now! 100% agree! I think India should have stick to Zaheer, Nehra, Harbajan and Ashwin from the start of the tournament without experimenting too much. Those are the four best ODI bowlers in India.

ensd2 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Its not Nehra's fault , we should must blame for the epic collaspe 29 runs 9 wikets whats happening to Dhoni ? Does he remember he was the TOP IcC ODI batsmen ? Now he bats like aftrdi ...
Ranjha Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Nehra will come good I think its unfair to blame Nehra. Fault lies with Dhoni for giving him the last over but its done and dusted now. Nehra is just coming back and his body was prolly stiff like shastri said since he didnt bowl much yesterday. Main thing, anyone can go for 14 runs in an last over. No one is saying Nehra is in zaks league but lets not put the guy down. He is our most experienced bowler after Zak. Even bhajji couldve gone for 14 iin last over but still I would have given him the last over since he was our best bowler...dunno what dhoni was thinking..
Chaos Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 are u ***in serious? nehra sucks BIG time. He is useless in all three departments.
ganeshran Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 OP dude, you are an eternal optimist, but we need to draw a line between optimism and delusion. the only way Nehra is coming good, is to bowl in seamer friendly wickets. There is no way he can bowl well consistently on flat tracks, he doesnt have the ability.
Ranjha Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Nehra has been one of our best death bowlers....what you smoking? Did you started watchig cricket yesterday?
ganeshran Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Nehra has been one of our best death bowlers....what you smoking? Did you started watchig cricket yesterday? Nehra is okish on seamer friendly wickets but you need that extra to bowl well on flat tracks. Zaheer and Munaf (to a certain extent) have that ability. Nehra doesnt.

ganeshran Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 ^^ We need to go for 2+2 option. The only problem is Chawla isnt coming good enough.
Ranjha Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 ^^I would go with Zak Nehra Harbhajan Chawla/Ashwin
CG Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 At last the thread will be closed in two months after india exit from the worldcup and its END for nehra. told you so.
CG Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Nehra has been one of our best death bowlers....what you smoking? Did you started watchig cricket yesterday? Death Bowler? Can he ball yorkers?no can he bowl a good bouncer?no has he done well for india at death ?no its a disgrace if you call him death bolwer.
CG Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Even Sreesanth would have done that :cantstop: Cut The Crap, sreesanth has never lost a close game for india.I ****ing want the guy who laughs after misfielding out of the team.
