He is set to play in the 2nd test match against West Indies as Hilfenhjaus misses out due to injury. How do you think he will go ? And do you guys rate him much ? I'm very happy for him that he's getting this chance as its been a long time coming and reckon that he's one to watch ouit for! Hope I haven't put the jinx on him lol.

I rate him a lot and think he'll be a big success on the flat track of Adelaide because he had bowled superbly on the flat tracks in the ODI series here in India. And WI batsmen are not anywhere as good as Indian batsmen are. So, all the best to him. The world cricket needs quality fast bowler and I'm quite certain that Bollinger is one in the making.

I rate hilf and bollinger. No doubts there bowling in terms of pacers is very strong. Its suprsingly their batting which is not as strong as yester years. Also spin dept is very weak.

He is a better bowler than Johnson in terms of his skills (accuracy, swing, bounce, etc.), even though Johnson is quicker. I think he will do well.

Bollinger is better than most present Aus pacers except Lee. He is surely better than Hilfy and Johnson

I would have preferred Clark but Bollinger is a good bowler and a pretty likeable guy.... mate. To Viru, I reckon Hilfy is awesome, probably better than Dougy.

Hilfy has been too inconsistent compared to others. He is good in tests but surely not fit for ODIs. Regarding Clark, he is good but I was saying about pacers and Clark is not a pacer.

I would prefer a good test bowler anyday over a good One day bowler. Hilfenhaus is not even the first choice bowler in ODIs and had we done the same with Ishant, we'd not have to drop him like this.

I think Clark may be better in helpful conditions and maximizing the assistance of the pitch (I will not forget watching him rip through England at the MCG on day 3 under clouds and knocking over Pietersen in hysterical fashion, which led to some serious abuse from our side of the ground for KPP). But on drier or flatter tracks, Bollinger's additional pace and his sheer hit-the-deck aggression will be a much better asset.

Agreed that Hilfy is no good for Odi's but he's pretty useful in tests.. Bollinger will prove to be a more then capable replacement though, I feel.

Yeah in a bouncy wicket Clark is a handful. But yeah Bollinger does well on flat decks and Adelaide is generally a road so he may be a good horse for the course. Yeah Hilfen sucks at ODIs but in tests I rate him very highly. Lee is injured, not sure whether he will retire or what..

I don't think achilles' posts exist to add sense, more for unintentional comedy (or proof of Einstein's suggestions of only two things being infinite). Meanwhile, nice to see Bubbles doing some more damage in the ODI series against Pak here. Hell of an opening spell last night!
