sangrock
Dhoni defends flat tracks After a glut of runs in the Tests and Twenty20s against Sri Lanka, the first one-dayer in Rajkot also turned out be a bowler's nightmare raising questions over the quality of pitches in India, but MS Dhoni defended the curators. "Wickets are not easy to prepare. You try to get a good wicket and it turns out to be a flat one," he said. "The Kanpur Test the wicket was flat but still the game ended one and a half days' before schedule. In the last four games the wickets have been consistent and batter-friendly. It's easy to criticise preparation of wickets." http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/content/current/story/439989.html Link to comment
fineleg
Dhoni defends flat tracks MSD is FTB (just kidding to see if I can get gra23's attn :P) To be fair, he never "defended" flat tracks. Stupid headline by cricinfo. Link to comment

Stupid headline by cricinfo. :aetsch: Even if he did, it is dumb. Arent the curators paid to maintain/build/grow tracks that can assist bowling *somewhat* ? Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
MSD is FTB (just kidding to see if I can get gra23's attn :P) Easier to just comment on Colbert if you're trying to catch G's attention. :P Link to comment
Zap_Brannigan
He didn't defend flat tracks. He took a sly dig at the pitch in the last game when in the after game presentation he said "We struggled in the last 20 overs after getting 300 in 32 overs. If we had batted well, we could have above par score." It wasn't the exact quote but the gist. Link to comment
bunny
Cant we prepare one seaming wicket and one square turner in this entire tour? It's getting monotonous. Link to comment
