Just cos england won the ahses!! The ashes is not be all and end all of cricket. And anyway if he is follwing that criteria then Johnson should not be in the team cos he had a stinker of an ashes.

He played 3 tests on very friendly seaming pitches against an awfull batting line up. Based on that he should make the team of the year? If you are picking a world 11 then one can argue his case. But in a team of the year based on 2009 performnaces no pak player can make the line up
