PotterManiac Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Mike Young was with the Indian team for a few weeks, for the Ind-SL series. How much of an impact do you think he's going to create? On the positive side, he's the coach of the Aussies On the negative side, he's just here for two weeks. So, what do you think?
achilles Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 He's been good. It takes time to learn things. You can't raise the standards overnight in any team, so I guess, the changes will reflect in a couple of series
Show_stopper Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I would like to give him more time.. but don't think BCCI have the b@lls. They expect miracles
devla Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I was thinking about this in light of the numerous drops in the 2nd game vs SL. I have to think even for fielding skills, new drills and new fielding approaches cannot be learnt in a short time. The decline was quite possibly a result of Mike Young's new ideas. I'm not opposed to him but it will take a year or more to get the team to where he wants it but he's only been hired to a short term. What's the logic?
Show_stopper Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I did notice that the # of direct hits are going up though.
PotterManiac Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 Yeah Raina was electric in the field in the fourth game. and direct hits were coming into the scenario.
