Do someone know if we can watch the matches live on the internet for free? that will be nice if someone can post a link if there is any... The cricket is very competiting;... Altought they didn't batted well yesterday, victoria's batting order was world class for twenty20 : Rob quiney (he is good), Hodge, Taylor, David Hussey, C. White, Bravo, mc donalds, wade... Great team they have... good bowlers too.. I am supporting south australia because of shahid afridi... they don't look so strong on paper... Will shaun tait play,???

Rain helps Victoria in KFC opener Rain helps Victoria in KFC opener Victorian Bushrangers won the first KFC Twenty20 Big Bash match by three runs (D/L) after rain halted play at the Gabba. Chasing 158, none of the Bulls' batsman could match the Bushrangers' bowling attack. The top score for the Bulls was scored by Craig Philipson, who came in to bat at No. 6. Philipson remained unbeaten at 33 before rain came down heavily with Bulls at 121 for 6. Openers James Hopes and Ben Dunk got off to a good start and were looking dangerous before Clint McKay removed Dunk and Hopes was run out by Rob Quiney in the fifth over. Hopes contributed 22 off 15 balls which included five fours while Dunk chipped in with 18 runs. The middle order fell quickly with John Hastings picking up wickets of Lee Carseldine and Nathan Reardon. Star batsman Andrew Symonds and Philipson then tried to steady the Bulls’ innings. However, some tight bowling from Andrew McDonald sent back Symonds for 16. Chris Simpson gave company to Philipson at the other end but soon he became Hastings' third victim. Hastings finished the day with 3 for 21. Ben Cutting and Philipson were still on the pitch when heavens opened and the match had to be halted. Earlier, the Victorian Bushrangers scored 157 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. After losing openers Quiney and Brad Hodge quickly, Ross Taylor anchored the innings. Taylor was dropped in the second over by Simpson, who had caught Hodge at the first slip just two deliveries earlier. Taylor ensured the Bulls paid heavily for their mistake as he went on to score 58 off 36 balls, which included four hits to the boundary and three sixes. However, the next three batsmen – David Hussey (0), Cameron White (19) and Andrew McDonald (23) were sent back quickly, but West Indian allrounder Dwayne Bravo contributed with a useful 36 down the order. The tail-enders could muster only 12 runs in the end. For Queensland, Ryan Harris picked up three wickets for 23, while Hopes scalped two, giving away 39 runs. Brief Preview The Bulls went into action without New Zealand skipper, Daniel Vettori but will welcome controversial all-rounder Andrew Symonds, who will be paid on the number of matches he turns up for. Joining Symonds in the firepower will be Australian all-rounder James Hopes and leading run scorer from the 2008-09 BigBash season, Lee Carseldine. The Bulls will also boast of a dangerous bowling attack with the likes of Nathan Rimmington, Ben Cutting, Alister McDermott, Ben Laughlin and Ryan Harris vying for spots. Symonds may be making his debut for Queensland but his Twenty20 reputation is fearsome. Not only has he been an asset for Australia in the shortest format but forms a pillar of strength and power for reigning IPL champions, the Deccan Chargers. The Victorian Bushrangers will not be short of star power as well, having signed up West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and Kiwi middle order batsman Ross Taylor.
