not only today, but for about 1 year sehwag has become a real hiteer... He has a temendous strike rate and a very good average too... He hass been too good lat years in ODI's... but still you also have to look the pitches were ridiculous, epecially in the ODI series in New zeland, coupled with the short bounaries...

All i am saying is he is too inconsistent with those 50+ scores for those strike rate to have much efffect

No other batsmen get such a license in ODis or they would have done better. Any team would kick out such an inconsistent player Please note than in 20/20s where batsmen do have the license, Afridi is wayyyyyyyyy behind as a hitter

I dont think its right to compare any batsman only on the basis of SR....it should be a combination of both SR and Avg.. I dunno about old days but at present, VIRU IS THE BEST! :adore:

Pointless to compare the strike rate of a class batsman like Sehwag who averages in the 40's, to pauper Afridi who averages in the 20's. Comparisons are only meaningful when you compare apple's with apple's, not apple's with plonkers.
