Its too soon to write off Veeru. He speaks his mind and called BD "ordinary" which is what they are. Unfortunately Indian batting caved in and he had his foot in his mouth. However, to be fair Veeru has delivered more often that not - so I wouldnt hold this once instance against him. Apart from Veeru, Gambhir would be my choice for a backup captain. Guy has displayed immense grit and tenacity, seems like a no nonsense guy.

Interesting. I left India couple of years ago when Neo Cricket was still in its early stages and haven;t seen any Indian TV cricket coverage since then. Is this RK the same guy who used to be on ESPN's sportscenter selected from Dream Job or Harsha Ki Khoj or something like that reality program on ESS about 3-4 years ago.

yes, u r correct. he is the same guy who was selected along with another guy, who too has joined Zee or some other channel.
