The Consortiumatti introduced the concept of bidding on match threads (for significant games) for the final test against Sri Lanka in December last year. Sachinism put up $125 million, won the bidding and the match thread resulted in a wonderful victory for India. Congratulations to Sachinism, who shall receive a solid percentage of the winning bid for this match after bidding is complete (an additional perk for those whose bids and threads lead to wins. :two_thumbs_up:) EMC skipped the bidding process for the test series against Bangladesh, because they are after all an ordinary side and even minnow basher thread-starters could start match topics for those games. Now, we have a big test series coming up, so it's off to the auctions. Get your bids in here for the right to open the thread for India vs. South Africa at Nagpur, Feb 6th! The winner of this auction will get to make the match thread for the final test between India and South Africa (and thank h4te that he's not making a two-month late match thread for India/Sri Lanka!) Bidding will start from ICF $50,000! Note: Bidding increments, for the moment, are $50000. The Consortiumatti will decide when the bidding period will end, and at that time the winning bid must be paid to EMC in order for the thread to be opened. :emc:

Read the rules. Bidding increments for the moment are in 50K - so to outbid anyone, you need to bid 50K above them. :emc:

No, you can outbid by more than 50K (or any amount you feel like). But there's a minimum incremental bid to prevent 500 posts of '5000001', '5000002', '5000003', etc.
