EnterTheVoid Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 2010 - 2011 Ashes Boxing Day Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), not so much a ground is it is a coloseum, capable of seating 100, 000 fans, its a test match I intend on going to. Here are the ticket prices for the Australia - Pakistan boxing day test at the MCG, should be a good indicator of ticket prices for the Ashes; For the platinum reserved seats, ($150 * 4) + (Day 5 price ?), looking at around $ 600 - $ 700, pretty steep pricing. Than there is accomodation, flights, spending money etc and I can see this trip costing around $1500 - $2000, a worthwhile investment you reckon ? Tickets can be brought from early June onwards. I need to start planning early if I am going to enjoy this trip. Anybody who has been to the MCG, can they share their thoughts on the experience, it would help me in making a more informed decision.
