I noticed on Neo Sports website that they are billing the Ind-SA series as " World Championship of Cricket". When did a bilateral series turn into World Championship?

Thats just them hyping this series up. Who wouldnt? After all, its no.1 vs no.2.

Still. I don't think World Championship is right. Allthough in truth I would like some sort of World Championship for Test matches, don't know how the format would work though.

The concept doing the rounds right now is for the top two ranked test teams each year to battle it out for glory in one series.... ie home and away.. So technically this is one half of the world championship till we go to South africa

With only 2 tests it is barely a 'series'. One additional test and they could have called it "The World Series 2009/10". It would have made more sense than a 'championship'.
