We can learn a thing or two from England...

About application Collingwood- Not half as talented as say a Yuvraj or Raina. Has nothing like their range of strokes. But gives 110%. Cant ask for more. Played superbly for his 200. And Hoggard. the guy is class. Englands best bowler. A real workhorse- but that shouldnt take anything away from his ability- flat track, no swing but he hes got some variety now- cutting and reverse swinging to trouble batsmen Stuck to his line and length- as always-and was rewarded. we would have conceded 700 on this track

^ That was N years ago. Can the current lot do the same ? Heck, could India have done it then had McWarne been playing?? Bearing in mind that they were 4 years younger and better for it...
Let's talk about today. Collingwood scored 22 runs batting for 120 balls today and they lost. It hasn't been N years since an Indian batsman scored a 200 in tests.

Re: We can learn a thing or two from England... However, we should always remember that the game is not done till it's done.........especially v the Aussies. At the start of Day 5, England were complacently thinking of a sure draw and they played accordingly, only to be shocked out of their boots. Never let your guard down and relax in test cricket........you could be cooked !! :lmao: :lmao:

Re: We can learn a thing or two from England... haha what an irony It seems like Australians carbon-copied India's triumph in Adelaide. Gave up 500+ in first innings. Batted well but still fell behind by 50 odd runs. Bowled England out cheaply in 2nd innings and won the game in last session of the play. Two great test matches in Adelaide in this decade.
