As much as I have liked the work of this selection committee, they have regressed here. What has Murali Karthik got to do to get their attention? If performance is the criteria for the team, I dont see it. Srikkanth in his playing days used to stand up for the players and was even booted out of the team for it. What happened to that spirit I wonder? Vinay Kumar is another poor choice as is Piyush Chawla. The thing is instead of bowling Piyush Chawla one could as well make Raina or Yuvraj bowl. Chawla as a leg spniner adds zero value to the team - he is forever intent on keeping the batsman quiet. Picking wickets, to him, appears secondary. That is not the attitude that helps leg spinners succeed. Kumble and Chandrashekar were geniuses and exceptions. Rohit Sharma has talent. But I dont see that he can be picked on the basis of performance. I would have liked to see somebody like Shikar Dhawan or even Manish Pandey.

i have no confidence with this team...... nehra was injured n always injury prone.... this team has already been sorted out with bouncers... Yusuf, Raina - bouncer suckers Rohit - hit n miss Nehra-any time will get injured.... Jadeja - no match practise..... lets hope for the best.....

Dont see this team beating better t20 teams. Batting looks inconsistent, bowling is rubbish and fielding not even fit for club level matches. Again we will rely on individual brilliance.

whats sad is the selectors havent learnt anything from the 1st test (against saf) fiasco.. there is no cover for Gambhir.. instead of pandey they have taken nohit sharma.. whos absolutely useless..

Irfan & Uthappa - over Jadeja & Rohit. Ravindra Jadeja has not even been playing the IPL, so how did they asses his current T20 form? Has he been playing any competitive cricket at all of late since the Bangladesh Tri series? I can't understand why Rohit deserves a slot over Uthappa. I'vent checked it, but has there been any inclusion from outside the originally announced 30 probables? If not, that is probably the reason the selectors are going to throw at the fans & media to say, we did not pick from outside the 30.

Chawla is a joke, i honestly dont see him playing any games! the selection of Nohit is probably is 'LAST' real opportunity, he aint bad guys, just needs to stand-up and be counted for once. Lastly, Vinay Kumar, again a passenger of sorts. Rating: 6/10
