cricketman Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I don't see how training them to blow stuff up would help in the cricket field. I mean, Pakistan name their cricketers after explosives - Boom Boom Afridi? Miandad's Lesson Plans - Beard's 101 - Forget Penis's, the longer your beard the better. Drugging and Smuggling - Shoaib and Asif to feature as guest speakers. How to use (and abuse) various forms of steroids because we all know that hitting the gym is for losers. Asif will speak on how to take these roids with you around the world, and what to do when you get caught (cry to the board!) Know No-Balls - This is a two parter. First will feature many Pakistan pace bowlers on how to efficiently gift extras to the opposition by overstepping the crease on delivery. The 0-0-0-31 guy will give a lecture. The other one is how to play cricket without balls, as Miandad himself has done this for the entire span of his career. Tapping into Tampering- How to adequately modify the cricket ball to make it swing in the air, because we aren't good enough to find a way to do it normally. China's going to be sweet!!!
DomainK Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Reminds me of the famous pepsi ad.:hysterical:

THX_1138 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I dont forsee any communication problems: Neither side speaks english, neither can string a complete sentence accurately... they should be able to understand each other like the faces of two hands.
Rajiv Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 It's a friendship or understanding of Politics only ( India ka Dushman Pakis ka Dost ) - but ask any average Chinese about Pakistan or the Culture, they will go back to slurping their noodles without even giving you a reply
ludhianvi Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Growth of Cricket in China [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3CKVaxOLMg]YouTube- Learn About The Growth of Cricket in China[/ame] Looks promising. Obviously they need some time but I really think there there is a good chance of a Chinese team coming up in the next 10 years or so. Just look at how they developed and nurtured players for the Olympics in 2-3 decades. What do you guys think?
Params7 Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Plant it at school level, then just watch it grow. Japan is crazy about baseball, China should be about cricket.
Serani Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 it does look promising and they have the resources to develop the game if it takes off which is good, Afghanistan also look to be in a strong position to having test status in the future too.
f.b.m Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I think that with Australian support that they are receiving and mentions of development of cricket by their premier Hu Jintao, China will become a force to reckon with in the space of this decade.. straight.drive Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 ^^^That looks like a parody video.......Especially Kevin Rudd speaking Chinese :omg:
hari504504 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 ^^^That looks like a parody video.......Especially Kevin Rudd speaking Chinese :omg: For the record, Kevin Rudd speaks perfect Mandarin.... He graduated with first class honors majoring in Chinese language and Chinese History
Mr Eintstein Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 No reason why they couldn't become a decent limited overs side within 20 years. Their culture places high values on fitness and discipline, so I'd expect their fielding to be top notch once they got going.
Mr Eintstein Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 lol love the guy talking about how behind they are in corruption and politics with a totally straight face.
ViruRulez Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 China might grow into a cricketing super power in the future if they take it up seriously .. they are hard working and their communist govt. makes people take to sports very seriously for which they are athletic and very successful in sports .. and they also have the money.. but seriously speaking I wont like the rise of China in cricket because their chances of joining the Indian camp is quite less and they will try to challenge India's authority in cricket
Rajiv Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I refute what everyone is saying here. It's not so easy to simply adopt a game like this, just coz they are a superpower, it doesn't mean they can be good at cricket. At the most, it will be one of those associate members
Pioneer Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 They won't play, they'll take offence to the term "chinaman"
Rajiv Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 It will take them 15 years. Relax. Multiply that by 3
