I see all of you guys are praising AUS and continently forgetting the Warne Waugh scandal of 93-94
No real proof. Not like a drugs test saying POSITIVE. And aus did ban their hero Warne for drugs, as their are laws and in civilised, democratic, free countries they mean something unlike undemocratic, islamic republics. Very Islamic having druggies in team.

Re: Ban Revoked for Dopey Shoby and Asif OK, Baadshah, let's say I accept for a moment that they took the nandrolone in contaminated supplements inadvertently. Why did they give up their right to have the B sample examined? Give me a reason that this was not an acknowledgement of guilt. They could have only done so if they had known that the B sample would test positive. In 3 years of tests, why are these two the only players, other Pakistanis included, to test positive for nandrolone? Surely, those supplements were being used by other cricketers, at least others from the Pakistani team?

Dhondy, i'm not sure of the answer to your question. But if someone was guilty of intentionally taking Nandrolone, then surely he would have his B sample tested just to act innocent? If you're going to say you have never intentionally or knowingly taken performance enhancing drugs, then surely you only turn the B test down after consulting with experts or lawyers. I mean who would ever advise the pair to not take the B test unless they had very good reasons. I've read that B tests for Nandrolone rarely come back negative if the A test is positive. Also they were assured of the accuracy of the testing procedures.

You got it all backwards. Only those who are 100% sure that they are guitly will decline a B sample test. Marion Jones (who is rumoured to have taken steroids in the past), vehemently denied that she had taken any steroids and was confident that her B sample would clear her name and it did.

Re: Ban Revoked for Dopey Shoby and Asif That's correct, Yoda. However, that B sample was for EPO (erythropoetin). There is no recorded divergence in the history of dope testing between A & B samples for nandrolone. All the same, if I were fingered, and I knew I was innocent, there's no way I'd waive my right to have the B sample tested. There's a very good reason why two samples are tested before a result can be confirmed. Human error, incorrect assays...all come into play.

Re: Ban Revoked for Dopey Shoby and Asif I think the B sample not being tested itself was part of the big game probably on the advice of the PCB. Leave some doubt out there for those who are willing to buy it in the aftermath of this shameless saga.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That was just too funny. I have never come across a more pathetic and baseless poster as you. Please try and use what little brain cells you have, and try to understand this. An athelete tests positive for Nandrolone. He knows he is guilty but has the B test done just to act like he is innocent. Because he had the B test done does this mean he is innocent? If Shoaib knew he was going to be implicated by declining his B test why the hell would he or his advisors ever turn it down?

Because he knew the B sample would be as strongly positive as the A sample. Because he had injected it into himself.

You don't do the B test to act like innocent. The tests will prove whether you are guilty or innocent. You do the B test to find a way to exonerate yourself. You refuse to do it only when you think there is 0 chance of it testing negative. And by not taking it, you can leave the door open with some sympathy from folks like you.
If Shoaib knew he was going to be implicated by declining his B test why the hell would he or his advisors ever turn it down?
Declining the B test doesn't mean anything in the context of the drug hearings. They can't hold it for or against you. When you know it is not going to help your case, why bother? But no one in the right mind would refuse it unless you know you got drugs in your body.

He knows he is guilty but has the B test done just to act like he is innocent. Clown use ur brain.. the guy knows he is guilty and knows no matter how many time test are done result is foregone conlcusion. Acting innocent what is this PTV sponsored drama. This doesn;t come into queion u parasite because the guy knows he will get the same postive result and yes for acting there is no brownie point before the tribunal once again unless the tribunal is PCB spnosored well in that case anything goes.

Dhondy both the A and B sample are taken at the exact same time, it's just that A is tested 1st and B after. So obviously if the 1st test is positive then the B sample will be just as strong. Apologies as i don't quite understand your point.

Re: Ban Revoked for Dopey Shoby and Asif

I think Baadshah is confused between innocence and guilt. :hic:
I'm not confused at all. I am just saying why would Shoaib turn down the B sample if it would implicate him in anyway? Someone said before you only turn down the B sample if you know you're guilty. In this case why is Shoaib pleading his innocence?
