cowboysfan Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 My mouth is drooling.... oh man, that brings tears to my eyes.the mangoes here in the US really suck.
Nova Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 oh man' date='that brings tears to my eyes.the mangoes here in the US really suck.[/quote'] Indeed. There is no concept of raw mango here...but if you are interested in the ripe ones, then in addition to the alphonso (which are now available in the US), try Champagne mangoes from Mexico. They are also good. By the way did you know that India is importing Harley Davidson motor cycles in exchange for Alphonso mango exports to the US. That deal was struck by George W Bush when he visited India in 2007. I guess that's atleast one good thing he did :P
Nova Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 I am missing raw totapuri mangoes. Is there a way to import them in the US.
nikred Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Couple of weeks back when I went home, my mom made aam-rus and puris. It was amazing. :woot:
