Some terrible selections by Cheeka this time round Vijay instead of Uthappa, Chawla instead of Ojha or even Mishra were terrible decisions .... the only good unexpected selection he did was to give chance to Umesh Yadav

What kind of a BS is this. Blaming Srikanth for our pathetic performance on field. Is it Srikanths fault that we cannot play short balls? Reg. Murali Vijay Vs Uthappa, An opener was selected to replace an opener. I dont understand who would open (only choice being Rohit sharma) if Vijay wasnt in the squad...and dont say karthik because then Utappa wouldnt have a slot in the team. Selection was made before IPL reached halfway stage. So there is no point in talking about IPL performers getting selected. Besides, there are 5 selectors who get to vote. The only member of CSK that got selected and who wanst an automatic starter in the line up was Murali vijay and that too was selected as a replacement. Guys like Chawla, karthik, Umesh,Vinay kumar are the new members to the team (or werent permanent fixtures in the team) and none of them play for CSK.

Are you telling me that selecting Badri, the most consistent scorer for the past decade in our domestic setup is a mistake? Or selecting Murali Vijay, our best domestic opener is a mistake? How about the selection of Kholi, Umesh, Saha, Dinda, Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, Chawla, Ohja, Vinay kumar, Pankaj singh, Abhisek Nayar, Abimanyu mithun.... Do they all play for CSK?? Pretty much everyone who has performed has been selected for the squad. Gony, Tyagi, Ashwin,Badri and Murali were just part of dozens of others from all over.

If Karthik plays, then Uthappa has to replace Rohit in the middle order. If Rohit opens, then you are making a middle order batsman open to make room for Utappa. Sure, Rohit has opened, but he plays as a middle order batsman in IPL. Next time Dhoni gets injured, we should get Rayadu in and make him the keeper.
