The U.S. is actually actually working on their "Pakistan project" (if I could coin a phrase) ON THE CHEAP. And BTW, yes Pak. is allowing the Taliban to come to power again, but have no doubt: Mushy WANTS to find bin Laden ... there is no better for him to earn the respect and admiration of the short-attention span'd West than to present bin Laden to Washington on a plate. bin Laden is running from the U.S. and Mushy.

US cannot go alone even Pakistan govt has not been there before. So without Pakistan help there is no way US can search for this guy in those terrains. I guess they'll slow down if there is not much progress. Money cannot flow all the time.

But in that way GWB's oil company buddies couldn't have made record profits for last few years and add to that hundreds of millions in tax credits while they were making new record every year.
