There is room for everyone in this world. :giggle:[/quote'] lol so either everyone should agree to what u say or u ridicule and dismiss them as conspiratorial... - clarke's and mitch's test records are not so overwhelming (they dont stand way ahead of competition) that we can all assume its only their thirst for real cricket. even steyn who is better than mitch plays in the ipl. - 8 players out of the top10 run scorers in test cricket are actively participating in the IPL. so there is no need to relinquish ur IPL paycheck to better ur test record. Players are able to adapt. - i dont like the celebrations by or the sledging handed out especially to indian players by mitch, watson and clarke. i always thought they hate the indian team the most. thats why i said maybe they dont want to play under indians. - if you bother to look at my previous post, u would notice that i considered what u said. Iam just speaking whats on my mind and i dont mind listening to what others have to say. if u should ask other posters to stop posting stuff about their take on player's psychology or their intentions behind the decisions they take then 90% of the posts in this forum are conspirational. every time we lose a match max number of the posts are made up of personal judgments. again i ask - why should i take ur words for granted? As far as i know urs was a as conspiratorial (as u would prefer) guess as mine regarding their intentions behind why they are not playing in the IPL.
Chorazin Reto Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 ""My take is Clarke for one day captaincy (in future), White for 20/20 captaincy"" I agree, i think Clarke is the ideal captain for Tests and ODI side, his test batting since his return from being dropped has been phenomenal, an average of nearly 60. And his captaincy is solid, i just dont think he is a T20 style player. I would bring in another player from domestic that has performed very well in T20, not necessarily a cow lasher like Warner, but someone who can move along at a run a ball reasonably safely and up the tempo if needed.
Fair Game Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Clarke doesn't need to do anything else in his career as long as he has that final over in the sydney test to fall back on with his wickets that will do me just fine.

Yeah, well I think when Ferguson gets back from injury he is ideal.
Zelig Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Wat about Chris Hartley, the Brisbane WK-batsman? I'm told that he is the Sheffield Shield player of the tournament:hmmm:
Fair Game Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Tim Paine should be keeper and open the batting in 20-20 and haddin should come in 6 or 7 for a late hit. It will give haddin a rest from keeping in all 3 forms of the game.
