Sooda Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Team Indias form a window for WC 83 side In a stunning development that is sure to send shockwaves throughout the cricket world; the Indian cricket teams national selectors have responded to the dissapointing exit from the recently concluded T20 world cup to drop the entire team, and ask the squad that won the 1983 world cup to come out of retirement and don their countrys colours again. Chief selector Kris Srikkanth announced the plans at a press conference. 'Yes I have decided to drop the entire squad and select myself and have asked the other men who brought us such glory in 1983 to come back into the fold. I know we can do better...' Other members of the world cup winning side were equally effusive. Speaking from 'Lalaland' - an amusement park dedicated to his late father- Mohinder Amarnath agreed with Srikkanth 'totally and absolutely'. 'At least I can play the hook shot' he added. When asked for a response to Amarnaths comments, India batsman Suresh Raina was slightly flummoxed. 'Hoo-uuk shaw-wt..? What is them things...?' A terse Raina then asked probing journalists to leave him alone, the batsman stating he was busy preparing for the forthcoming tour of Zimbabwe by '..eating his mothers Raajma Chawal...' With Ravi Shastris position as commentator for Star Sports cricket team now surrounded by uncertainty, Yuvraj Singh has announced he intends to fill the slot on the commentary team for a top-order-bat-who-could-bowl-useful-left arm spin. When asked what skills he had that he could bring to the job, Yuvraj pointed to his constantly improving ability to '...sit in one place and gain lots of weight...'
