Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Ok and how many indan batsman do you rate higher than Inzamam ul-haq??? Of the modern era? Tendulkar, Dravid, Sehwag and Laxman. My picks are based solely on Test cricket. Laxman gets my pick because of his magnificent performances against Australia, contrast to Inzamam's total failure against the same team.
Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 Bubluji' date=' You are no longer on peeepeee ..... feel free to say Inzi is krap. :--D[/quote'] Naa, that would be totally unfair and unjust.
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Of the modern era? Tendulkar' date=' Dravid, Sehwag and Laxman. My picks are based solely on Test cricket.[b'] Laxman gets my pick because of his magnificent performances against Australia, contrast to Inzamam's total failure against the same team. I am quite sure you are not rating Ijaz Ahmed more than Jacques Kallis? And also not rating Saeed Anwar as highly as his stats and his superb innings agaisnt the aussies suggest??? Laxman is a god batsman, averages in the mid 40's, very good stats agaisnt aussies. He do scores heavely in draw matches, i think average over 60 in them, shows that he averages highly on very good batting tracks. But to compare him with Inzamam is wrong, completely wrong, inzamam has been such a great player under pressure... His performance at crucial times are so uncomparable with any other cricketer in the world...
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 :headshake: Harbhajan Singh made more runs in Aus than Inzi did in his last 3 tests in Aus . I don't know who bublu is, but i think he do post well, his posts are cricket oriented, not as most of the jockers like you on this forum. I sometime fail to understand if it's a cricket forum or a joke forum... What is the point of saying that harbhajan has scored more runs than Inzi againt aus?

What is his average in WC and tournament finals ? :haha::hysterical: Average of Laxman outside Sub-continent is better than Pakistani batsman ever.
satyam1729 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 :lol2: :phehehe: good 1 Suresh raina scored more runs than Umar Akmal in T20 WC. :haha::giggle:

You are still in your own world. If you want an awnser, then re-read Bublu's post... Maybe you will be inteligent enough to find the awnser (i doubt...)
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Suresh raina scored more runs than Umar Akmal in T20 WC. :haha::giggle: yep and Butt scored more runs than kallis, ghambir, etc... So Butt is better than them?
satyam1729 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 You are still in your own world. If you want an awnser' date=' then re-read Bublu's post... Maybe you will be inteligent enough to find the awnser (i doubt...)[/quote'] You are living in your own world. No one outside Pakistan rates Inzamam highly. Check the average of Inzamam in WC and outside sub-continent.
ZodiaC Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 BTW I do not rate Azhar as high as a lot of other Indians do. To me Azhar and Ganguly are probably the same. How the hell is Azhar = Ganguly? For me Sachin>Ganguly=Dravid>Azhar=VVS (As a player)
satyam1729 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 yep and Butt scored more runs than kallis' date=' ghambir, etc... So Butt is better than them?[/quote'] Lol did you bother to read the post ? Saying Akmal is better than Raina is a big joke.
satyam1729 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 How the hell is Azhar = Ganguly? For me Sachin>Ganguly=Dravid>Azhar=VVS (As a player) Ganguly= Dravid :haha::hysterical:
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I think that Umar Akmal has talent, he has a good start to his International career in all formats of the game. He has a lot of shots in his book, but also has some flaws. To me, he is very good agaisnt spin, he will not trugle so much agaisnt them. But agaisnt geniunly quick nowling he may strugle when driving the ball. He looks good when he plays the ball on his legs or even hit it on the leg side. He deserved to be praised for his start in international career but do not deserve to hypped as an all time great for 6 months of international cricket. This summer will be a great test for him playing agaisnt quality teams, with quality fast bowlers in England.
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Lol did you bother to read the post ? Saying Akmal is better than Raina is a big joke. Most of the cricket experts, when comparing players take only test cricket's career. Raina is a good limited over cricketer and is yet to debut in test cricket, and i don't see him debuting in the near future, so yes Akmal is better than Raina so far...

S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 So going by test career only Laxman is better than Inzamam. Really not... He is not even near, sorry to say it. Only stats agaisnt aussies don't make you an all time great.
satyam1729 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Really not... He is not even near' date=' sorry to say it. Only stats agaisnt aussies don't make you an all time great.[/quote'] Stats outside sub-continent too make you great.
S.Bond Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Stats outside sub-continent too make you great. If you take only results match for both players (that mean without draw matches) Inzamam average 51, laxman's average goes down to 39. Laxman averages 45 agaisnt aussies in those matches and Inzamam averages 33.76 agaisnt aussies. Agaisnt all other countries inzamam surpasses Laxman.... Inzamam also surpass Laxman's average in every continent but Europe where laxman only played a total of 4 innings. Inzamam has got 19 centuries, laxman 7. Inzamam averages about 20 more in wins, inzamam averages more even in loses. Inzamam averages Largely more in 1st, 3 rd and 4th innings. Laxman averages more just in the second innings with 57 but even there Inzi averages 53. I think this comparaison is ridiculous. Inzamam is way wayyy ahead of Laxman.
ZodiaC Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Dravid was a better ODI batsman than Ganguly. But including bowling yes' date=' Ganguly has a upperhand.[/quote'] How is dravid exactly a better ODI Batsman than ganguly? His avg is better, s/r is better, and Dravid - 12 times scored a 100, India won 8 of them (66%), Ganguly 18/22 (81%).. Now how exactly is Dravid better than Dada in the ODIs?
