Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Saeed Anwar Hanif Mohammad Zaheer Abbas Javed Miandad Inzamam-ul-Haq Imran Khan Rashid Latif Wasim Akram Fazal Mahmood Abdul Qadir Waqar Younis The list is fair. No doubt about it. People were debating about Fazal`s inclusion in the list. For a start, it won`t be wrong to call him a figure people looked up to. Winning a test against England on your very first tour is an achievement in itself and Fazal played an important part in it by taking 12 wickets. The famous Oval test of 1954 was a major landmark for the development of cricket in Pakistan So that makes it 12 wickets each against the WI, India and England and 13 in a match against the Aus which shows he was a decent enough fast bowler. He wasn`t speedy so i guess that gave him an edge over Shoaib. The list already has enough fast swing bowlers Although Latif`s inclusion is a bit surprising. Sure he was the best pair of gloves we ever had and perhaps the most naturally gifted of all, but his batting left a lot to be desired. It`s a personal opinion but Moin should`ve made that list because he was a vastly superior batsman Although the judges would`ve given glovework priority so no complains from my side :)
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 no way, kapil is equal to imran khan india all time always 1.5 times to pak all times,:eyedance: No way imran averaged 37.69 with bat in tests and 22.81 wid the ball In odis imran averaged 33.41 wid bat and 26.61 wid ball kapil averaged 31.05 wid bat and 29.64 wid ball kapil averaged 23.79 wid bat and 27.45 wid ball Infact imran was a lot better than kapil not slightly....
Sir john Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Who hit 175 in world cup kapil not Imran. Who bowled Australia in a day kapil not Imran who won world cup first Kapil not Imran.
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Who hit 175 in world cup kapil not Imran. Who bowled Australia in a day kapil not Imran who won world cup first Kapil not Imran. Why hitting 175 in WC makes him greater than imran..... Why winning a world cup first makes him greater than imran.... Even Sarfaraz Nawaz bowled Aussies out in one session have a look at his profile that is not a big deal.... But see the stats with open eyes again and again Imran turns out to be the best...... Though kapil was great but not as great as imran difference b/w there averages and strike rates is too much for any of your Rubbish argument to hold World cup winning Argument is very lame argument.... Brian lara and sachin didnt win world cup in their careers but Ramiz raja did ..well can that world cup victory take him close to Sachin ...? Imran did win the world cup for his country and winning it first doesnt matter?
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Kapil Dev was the greatest pace bowler India has produced, and their greatest fast-bowling allrounder. If he had played at any other time - not when Imran Khan, Ian Botham and Richard Hadlee were contemporaries - he would surely have been recognised as the best allrounder in the world. Source : cricinfo........ read kapil's profile http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/content/player/30028.html
Sir john Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 That 175 is high score of the legend, whats your imran?
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 That 175 is high score of the legend' date='whats your imran?[/quote'] High score doesnty make u legend..... Inzamams highest test score is 329 what is sachins? High score doesnt make u legend that comparison doesnt mean inzi is compared to sachin
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 That 175 is high score of the legend' date='whats your imran?[/quote'] And by the way even cricinfo says he was lower in calibre to Imran khan, Ian botham and sir Richard hadlee
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Why you seeing cricinfo for all info? Kapil is better in batting than Imran khan.
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Imran played 88 test in 22 years Kapil played 131 in just 16 years, who is great kapil the legend :eyedance:
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Imran take only 28 catch in 88 test kapil take 64 in 131 matches who is great kapil the legend.
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 kapil high score in test 163 Imran high score 136, :yay:
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 kapil take 135 catches in 356 matches of all type macthes he played so innings per dissmissal is 0,298 Imran take 64 catches in 263 matches of all types he played , so innings per dismissal is 0.193 who is best our legend kapil,,:yay::yay:
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Talk about kapil and imran only. Imran was great i cant answer ur arguments if you go into highest scores tell me whose stats are better collectively there is a huge difference between their stats ..highest scores dont matter Imran was better batsman , better bowler , even if kapil was a better fielder imran is best ...U can see kapils profile on cricinfo he is considered to be the 4th greatest all rounder in history of test cricket after Imran khan, sir richard hadlee and ian botham .. Highest scores dont matter when you analyse final stats its about how many matches you won for your team ,your total average wid both bat and ball does matter ....
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Imran played 88 test in 22 years Kapil played 131 in just 16 years, who is great kapil the legend :eyedance: :omg:No of tests are no certificate of greatness ....
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 kapil take 135 catches in 356 matches of all type macthes he played so innings per dissmissal is 0,298 Imran take 64 catches in 263 matches of all types he played , so innings per dismissal is 0.193 who is best our legend kapil,,:yay::yay: Imran was a genuine fast bowler and kapil was medium fast ...Imran used to field on positions where less no of catches would come
Sir john Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Imran was a genuine fast bowler and kapil was medium fast ...Imran used to field on positions where less no of catches would come but one thing you have to accept, whatever you think, kapil is better fielder than Imran khan ?B->
Hur Rizvi Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Why you seeing cricinfo for all info? Kapil is better in batting than Imran khan. I think your mathematics is too weak TESTS Imran averages 37.40 KApil averages 31 If kapil is better why didnt he averaged more than imran difference of 6.40 is too much and u r talking rubbish Even in ODIs Imran averages 33.41 KApil 23.79 Nearly difference of 10 runs per inns ..... Rubbish Argument .....Imran was greater in batting kapil averages 23.79
