While Berba has been the one scoring all the goals, its been Rooney who has created most of those goals and we have seen earlier on in this season when Rooney was injured how badly Berba struggled. Berba is more of a confidence player - if he is given chances and the manager consistantly supports him (which did not happen last season where he was dropped after every few games) the he can be an outstanding player. IMO its a partnership of both of them which is doing wonders for ManUtd at the moment. Rooney IMO has been the most valuable player for the team for the last few years (maybe not so much this season).

Don't think Hodgson was that bad. Remember, he had to first clean up the crap that was laid out by the Spaniard at helm. Managers sacking has become almost an habit which is not a good sign for any club. One of the main reasons why Chelsea is not a stable club is the short tenures given out to the managers. P.S: Don't talk about Arsene Wenger. Him and Arsenal both suck :icflove: No mate. Hodgson was ineffective. Not only the results, but his tactics were pathetic too. His style of play was lousy and he had zero positive impact on the players. Whereas see Kenny Dalglish now. Just 2 weeks in and the whole teams seems to be responding with vigour, especially Torres. And whatever other might say, Rafa Benitez was an excellent manager. But that's another topic worth of a long heated debate.

But Its not in football. Rooney doesnt just score goals, he also creates them which Berba doesnt. Case Closed.

Bekham was not over hyped, if anything he was never properly appreciated for his talent and will always be remembered as Bekham - the celebrity first and Bekham - the footballer second :((. His passing and crossing was just extraordinary and the number of goals he created simply was outstanding. The best thing about him according to me was the despite all that media attention he always had his feet on the ground and seemed to genuinely cared for the game (unlike most of the players nowadys). As for Rooney being over-hyped, that guy has had one bad season and people are already writing him off and calling him "over-hyped" :hysterical: He is the same guy who completely destroyed teams last season and was scoring for fun. Just wait for him to completely recover his form (he is already looking much better than he did in December) and you will have to eat your words :--D
jindaldhruv Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 As much as I hate Rooney, he's no doubt better than Berbatov. All Berba knows is to tap the ball into the goal. Rooney, definitely off colour this season, but atleast he creates chances and links up play between midfield and front. Berba couldn't create as many chances even if his life depended on it. But I guess, in the end its always the goals and the goalscorers that count, hence more appreciated than the goal provider.

Sachin=GOD Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The "switched-off" microphone has taken the jobs of many commentators/presenters in the past also (For ex Dean Jones) but still these people don't learn :giggle: Andy Gray said that the female linesman would'nt know the offside rule and in the same match the linesman did'nt give Meireles offside before he set up Liverpool's 1st goal and that decision was absolutely right and Andy Gray ended up looking like an absolute fool :hysterical:
