Do the rules allow red card to be given even if the handball is not intentional?? Or was he sent off because he intentionally handled the ball?? I understand the penalty but why the red card??
He was sent off because he intentionally handled the ball. If the referee thought it was not intentional, then no card or a penalty for that matter.

Robbed man.. No way that hand ball was intentional. What can you do though.. GO GHANA!
I agree. Refs need to use some common sense. OTH play is so fast, it is not possible for these guys to know for sure. Guess bringing in replays in football is out of question. May be they can look at giving 1 challenge per team per half. Extra 5 mins max per half total, may be worth it.
