Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test Oh oh.... how long can I keep away posting here :hic: Way to go Bondy :wtg: The pitch is not so bad but the shots the SL batters have played so far aren't great. Jayasuriya was unlucky but the rest just had no patience to play a waiting knock. Everyone seems to want to play spectacular cover drives by the looks of it. Only Sangakkara is showing good judgement in shot selection.

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test Brilliant ground fielding by Bondy gets another and Oram struck to get another. Now 80/7 with only 28 runs ahead. Surely it must be all over for SL now although Sangakkara is still there in the middle.

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test 46.4 Franklin to Muralitharan, FOUR!!, good length delivery outside off, Muralitharan waits for it and late cuts it to square third man, first runs off the bat of someone other than Sangakkara in 17 overs wow

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test Well some confusions here, Sangakkara tucks it away and picks up a single, Muralitharan leaves his crease to congratulate his partner and McCullum removes the bails, Jerling raises his finger, Murali is out and is it a Sangakkara hundred or not??? Well yes it is as Muralitharan touched the crease before leaving to congratulate Sangakkara WTF was that need to see a video of that...Rajeev help

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test Sangakkara is left unbeaten on 100, a fantastic innings. He was on 39 when the eighth wicket fell and has done a marvellous job of shepherding the tail.

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test I don't like three things in that dismissal : 1. Murali leaving the crease without having confirmed with the umpire although he touched down on the crease. 2. McCullum has done this before too. I don't quite like this kind of a dismissal. Murali touched down on the crease and wandered away to congratulate Sangakkara at the other end. The throw had not come in yet and although it is technically out this one needs a freakin rule change. Just doesn't seem fair to me this kind of dismissal when it is clearly seen Murali had no intention of taking another run. 3. What the fack was umpire Jernings (or however his name's spelt) was thinking? Why was he walking towards the wicket when Murali wandered off in the first place? He has to be still at the sq leg umpire position but he was walking in while Murali wandered away and the throw was still coming in

Re: Sri Lanka V New Zealand 1st Test Just now after second look at the instance, the umpire Mr.Jerk was walking as Sangakkara had changed ends as he ran a single. Mr.Jerk was walking to the other side as Murali was a right hander. While Jerk was walking in, he saw Murali wandering out to laud Sangakkara and signalled with his hands briskly indicating Murali to get back to the crease :eew:  Why would any umpire be helping the batter to save him from run out???
