thevortex Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Bossbhai - dont you be talking about vagueness and semantics. You are the one who is satisfied by vague mentions of third party testing :). I have always been crystal clear. You have not even a shread of proof for Hawkeye's accuracy. Clear enough?
CSK Fan Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Bossbhai - dont you be talking about vagueness and semantics. You are the one who is satisfied by vague mentions of third party testing :). I have always been crystal clear. You have not even a shread of proof for Hawkeye's accuracy. Clear enough? So now you claim that not only the H/E people lying, even MCC is lying? What a tool :hysterical:
thevortex Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 So now you claim that not only the H/E people lying' date=' even MCC is lying? What a tool :hysterical:[/quote'] Take some time to understand what I have said. You and Bossbhai and maybe others may be happy with vague mentions of some test being done. Where is the test? What are the figures? What conditions were they tested in? Or are these very uncomfortable questions for you guys? :)
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 It has everything to do with the image you have posted above. And take a look at all posts from #59. Your extrapolations here definitely do not agree with Hawkeye's depiction!!!
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I didnt do any extrapolations anywhere that was somebody else. And again your posts have nothing to do with camera angle. The snapshot clearly shows that the regualr camera is not positioned inline with the stumps. End of story. Are you trying to seriously say that that particular screenshot proves that the recording camera is not in line with the stumps? Going forward are you really trying to say that when you view the action on your TV set, the camera is not able to give you pictures with the correct alignment? Give me a yes or no answer and we can find out exactly how fanciful your imagination can get! :)
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I know how you go on a tangent so in order to pre-empt that ... do you first of all agree that the snapshot shows the pitch at a angle to the bottom of a screen ? Bossbhai - with all due respect, I cannot use your snapshot as some sort of reference. I know what I saw on TV and would NOT consider that footage to be misaligned. I dont know about your snapshot. Remember the camera is always on the move - swivel as well as zoom. I think you are oversimplifying a little too much here. The way you are arguing there is no reason to show any of these slow motion replays on TV then!!!
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 The ball is still squarely in your court - as it always has been. 1) First accept that there is not even a shred of proof when it comes to Hawkeye and its reproduction. 2) Answer the pointed question - do you think the television camera is misaligned when covering an international cricket match and that all replays are a waste of time because of that reason?
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 If you cant use the snapshot as ref then you cant use the video footage from the regular camera that forms the basis of your case ... because my still image came from that same camera :--D Do you understand the fact that the snapshot can be taken at any point of the video footage? :) That was the point.
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Yes which is why I posted 2 snapshots if you bothered to look. If you look closely it is just at the point of impact. You need more from before and after? Let me know. Do you really think I provided you with a snapshot from a totally different point in time unconnected to that Ponting dismissal ? There are different stages just with respect to that Ponting dismissal. Read my post on that. Which is why I think Hot Spot lords it over Hawkeye for me in such a case. Point of impact is never under question.
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 You simply dont know and understand even the simplest things do you ? I said that I have checked all frames from the start of the ball till it hits his pad - which is about erm a grand sum of 0.6 secs later - and they are all the same. I posted 2 of those already. Please dont question my integrity by saying that other frames will tell a different story. This is just unbelievable. Hotspot cameras are totally different and you cant tell what angle they are because they are zoomed in way too much as their targets are usually the bats and pads. See, you can begin to understand my question only when you realize that Hawkeye is different from the 'word of God'. With your present mindset I will not be surprised if you throw aside every evidence and still say 'Hawkeye is God'. By the way, my follow-up question to this was - why did you guys come up with a different path as opposed to Hawkeye? By the way, you talk about frames without understanding. Do you think cricket cameras can capture real time action seamlessly such that we dont lose ANY detail at all mid frame? Have you never seen run out appeals where even frame by frame slow motion replays are not absolutely conclusive? Do I even need to ask you this question? You have seen enough cricket. I really dont understand why you open yourself up to these inane questions!
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 You are the one that is relying on regular camera image to say H/E is wrong . H/E has 6 different cameras that are twice the frame rate as that of regular cameras and most importantly they are fixed. Answer the question!! You are not getting away that easily. You continue to quote only what is convenient to answer and then run away. Do you understand that there can be data between frames and that it is conceivably possible that your screenshot might not have the capability of capturing the point of impact as Hot Spot does perhaps?
thevortex Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Minor correction - Ponting appears plumb not because the pitch is at an angle. He appears plumb because he was plumb out :) It is not like that is going to change with the second photograph. And thanks for answering.
