Yeah Shakib Al Hasan is also good especially in one day cricket. He is better than Bhajji on current form. What abt Kanaria and Ajmal ?
Shakib is equally good if not better in test level too, bowled well against england (better than what his figures suggests, as he went wicketless in first 2-3 matches). Has 5wkt hauls against England, SA, India, and NZ @ away tests. So unless his career slumps disastrously, he may well become one of the best spinners of our times. Kaneria is nowhere in the picture (plus out of form these days). Ajmal got exposed in the only test he got, and I think he's not test class.

All these contenders need to bowl on this day 1 columbo pitch to see what they are all about:haha:
haha but some of them dont wanna face reality.

Swann is the best if you go onm current form. But i would still prefer Bhajji despite him being out of form for the last few years :isalute:
corrected it has to be Swann

Swann is no doubt best spinner atm. Vettori use of brain and experience makes him one of better spinner. Shakib Al Hasan is a good young talent and will shine in future. But in term of match changing ability Harbhajan is the daddy's of all. India usually who when he shines. And that make sense why the selectors are so persistent with him

This whole website attacks Bhajji non stop calling him trash, rubbish etc, however you also call him the best spinner? Is it because he is Indian?

No its cos hes the leading wicket taken in world cricket, a proven match winner and at the moment is being criticised on a completely flat pitch, hes never been a huge spinner but uses variations and that kind of stuff isnt suited here.

Bhajji is a good bowler and very experienced too but he isnt consistent even after playing for so many years. At times he takes his place for granted.

Swann followed by Shakib. Shakib may not have had a good series in England stats-wise but he bowled well. And anyway his stats are much better than Smith and Kaneria who plays in England full-time. Plus he got a 5-fer which those two couldn't do. Shakib has five-fers against all the teams he has played against. Eng, Ind, SA, SL, WI, NZ. And that too at the age of 23.
