Anyone planning to travel to WC 2011?

Hi Thinking of making a trip to the WC Final then catching some of the IPL staight after, anyone else thinking this far ahead? Just think with it being Tendulkar's and a few others last WC their destined to do something special? My dilema is, i can only go for 2 weeks and theres a big gap between the last India group game (against WI) and the final, so if i just want to see INdia id go for tht match, the QF and i wouldnt have time for the final...however im thinking of risking it and flying on the 1st, watching India in the final on the 2nd and then the IPL. WHat are our chances of being in the final? (just to get other opinions!) Are there any tour companies tht people use? Checked the official ICC and their a ripoff!

cheers read through it, some useful stuff on there. You still planning to travel? Do you know when semis+final tickets will be out? Surely India will get to the semis at least?

yeh, read your posts on the other thread, are you travelling from the uk, you booked flights out there yet, did you manage to get tickets?

I was more likely to travel to WC 2011 but majority of Indian games are already sold out. I haven't bought tix yet so it seems rather ridiculous to plan on going now Semis and Final tix are not out on sale yet so that's something to look out for but they are going to be sold out on the same day they are on sale.

The only India tickets tht hve fully sold out are the England + SA game. However my thinking when the tickets came out (all their games were available when i looked) was tht i wana see India WIN the WC!! AND i wanted to watch some IPL games so going later in the tournament allows me to do so (only have 2 weeks). So now thinking QF, Semis + FInal. For Final tickets i will be the first one of there, tho its a risk if India dont get to the finals i will still have to go (as travelling frm uk and you wont know until 2 days b4 if india has reached.). Cant believe for the QF India should be playing in on 24th March in AHmedabad, hardly any tickets have been sold....why is this??
