VRV Singh Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Out of those I would say Irfan is the most compelling case. Basically, if he proves he can perform it's not only a place in the squad, but the no.7 spot in the first XI he'd be in line for. The others you could not say similar, certainly not Naman Ojha and Rayudu. I would love it if Irfan was to be given a chance and perform well internationally again. Would have Harbhajan, Jadeja and Ojha clearly ahead of Chawla for the frontline spinners' slots. Possibly Mishra too. Don't see the worth in his selection. Uthappa...not sure.
sudheer kumar Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Irfan.Uthappa.......should try before WC2011 Piyush chawla need consistent performace Ambati rayudu ........less chances he has. Naman Ojha should wait till Dhoni retires.
IKnowU Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 After watching Chawla, Pandey, Ohja and Dhawan play today. I would say Pandey and Dhawan are the more realistic choices and Dhawan a even more likely candidate. Dhawan has the Sehwag style of batting, where he sees and hits it and can bowl as well.
