What is the best batting against spin you have ever witnessed?

the 55 by baasu and 69 by VVS vs Aus Mumbai'2004 on a absolute brute pitch.

that was not a pitch, it was a dust bowl in true sense. but batting against McGrath & Co may have been slightly easier than facing Imran's deadly indippers, Wasim's swing & cut ,Qaim's Left arm orthodox & Tauseef's accurate off spin. just like our lower order failed to score 20 odd runs in chennai after Sachin's heroic 136, the lower order of ' 85 which was much better than the '98 tail, failed to score the 30 odd runs after Sunny was adjudged out.one of the saddest days of my college 1st year. but i love Sachin's 155 because it was on my 1st anniversary day! had enjoyed the whole innings, ball by ball at home ....:yay:

Imran did not bowl in the 4th inngs as I guess he was injured IIRC Waz was a rookie and he too did not bowl much.

i recall reading somewhere that, It was Miandad's master plan to use Wasim instead of Imran's plan of opening with 2 spinners. I think Wasim picked couple of very crucial wickets.I remember listening to the commentary when Kail bowled Salim Malik or some one with an in -dipper which was compared favourably with Imran's famous indippers. in 2004, Clarke of all the people picked up a few quick 2nd innings wickets.that shows that the pitch was bad or the 2004 batting unit was not as good as the 1987 team.
