The situation is beyond hopeless and has done the full loop from fear and terror to comedy and then all the way back to farcical incompetence. There aren't enough specialist phrases in the English dictionary to fully capture the predicament that is Pakistan. A hybrid term such as "tragi-terror" may describe such countries that, in exporting terror to the rest of the world, merely end up blowing their own people sky high. Disenfranchised once again, the troubled youth of Pakistan will turn increasingly towards terror networks as a means to hit back at the army and the rest of the country. As the world observes the ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the US, the goings-on in Pakistan lay credence to fears of multiple repeats, fueled by Pakistani cannon fodder and directed by al-Qaeda and the like against Western powers. America's leaders have been distracted by political issues at home and thus far this year been focused on debates around the country's strategy with respect to Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan; despite the fact that none of these countries presents a credible threat to the rest of the world. The real threat is Pakistan, and it remains largely ignored by America and Europe.

achilles Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Instead of crying foul Mr. Aisam Next time when you play tennis, grab the mike and request your givt, your ISI to deport, ban, extradite all the criminal, terrorists (some of them not even Citizens of Pakistan). That is when the world will consider you. Next time when you play a tennis match -- grab a mike and ask your Govt to stop the terror infrastructure that they have built over the years to cause may hem in other countries. Grab a mike in Lahore and ask your government why is that the 9/11, 26/11, 7/7 and multitude of ther dates Bombers were trained in Pakistan and no-where else in the world. Grab a mike and ask your country to clean up the mess they have created over the years. You can never get Respect by yelling in the mike. You can never buy respect. You will have to EARN it. PS: I was going though the Yahoo comments for a news piece about "Floods in Pakistan". More than 50% of the comments were about how Pakistan deserved it, and many people commenting about its corrupt govt and administrators and also some not even believing that any aid is helping the actual people who are affected and many talking about Terrorism in Pakistan. All this under the "Floods in Pakistan" title. Quite damning I must say.
