Dalmia is back in BCCI folds

Now that the cases against Jaggy dada have been revoked...is an indication of BCCI trying to make amends the strained relation with this stalwart... ( the motive might be to keep Lalit Modi away from BCCI )... although Jaggu and pawar do not see eye to eye...but that was in the past...and this new power equations in BCCI may side line even pawar... IMO...even jaggu is fine...he is a hard task master...who basically made BCCI what is it today... a superpower in world cricket... i am happy for this new development..... would love to see jaggu back in BCCI...

I think Pawar wants to use Dalmiya's experience as ex-ICC president in these tough times. Also with Modi gone, they need some marketing genius to keep the dollars flowing into the coffers nd they have gone back to Dalmiya who was the one credited with bringing in large sums of money to cricket.

+++ But Dalmiya was a good administrator and had made BCCI the head of world cricket to say .. good that he is back.. his experience will be of good use.. Dada is also back in BCCI folds .. the only thing I did not understand is why Gavaskar was kicked out of IPL GC.. he was a BCCI loyal .. why would he be kicked out :hmmm:

Gavaskar hasn't been kicked out. They are taking away the 1 crore yearly fee and making IPL GC honorary. RJS has accepted it, one of Sunny/Pataudi whoever accepts to work for free will remain. They are overall trying to cut down the number of members in the IPL GC also.
