yoda Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Well second new ball is due, not taken yet. Harby bowling well, but given Zak has been the main wicket taker so far, may be we should have taken it by now?
fineleg Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 Mahi dropping Tim Paine proving costly as well. That buffoon has been sitting on the track for hours and not getting out!
fineleg Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 Another edge from Watto falls a bit short of Dravid!!! Lucky Shano I am not writing this and the above in the goofup since they have fallen short, but our fielders just may be standing a bit too behind. Come up forward keeper and slips.
SachDan Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Paine on 88 edged Zak..ball goes between Dhoni and Dravid. Clearly keeper's catch. Dhoni should have gone for that. Not much damage done though. In the next over Zak manages to induce another edge of Paine that went to one of the safest hands in our team. Great catch by Laxman!
fineleg Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 As cricinfo commentary says: Its unlikely that Aus will return the favor of dropping catches when they field Dhoni, Sehwag and Ishant (no ball catch) have cost us big time at least 150 runs excess
fineleg Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 We need a thread on the absolutely pathetic wicket keeping by Kaptaan Kool. I mean its becoming like a trend towards Dropthiv and Dropthik, now Dropni :banghead:
thevortex Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Dhoni has always been a safe keeper - definitely not an agile or flamboyant one. I would tend to think that these drops are exceptions.
saneindian Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 1. Hussey did return a favour by dropping Ishant's catch which went right through his hands for a 4. 2. And now Paine misses a simple stumping chance of Raina. Raina was on 47*, 309/4. Hope Raina takes a ful toll of the chance. 3. Jhonson dropped Raina when he was in his 60s. Messed up an easy chance.
saneindian Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Does that hillarious goof up by Sanjay Hazare to give Dhoni out count as well?
SachDan Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 In the end it was those goof ups that lead to one of the most memorable matches ever. Otherwise we would have had a dull, boring one sided win :hysterical: Team India rocks anyways you look at it :adore:
