So true. He has a wider range of shots than any player and can pawn attacks if he wants to. He doesn't always do that in tests. While his ability to adapt his game has made him a batting genius, I think he should step it up especially after crossing a hundred. It makes it easier to score the big doubles.

No you did not understand what I said. Sehwag does give you chances, doesn't he? odd play and miss, odd ball going over the slip. When Sehwag is playing you are not sure whats going to happen. Earlier Version of Basu was similar in the sense he would start innings with flurry of boundaries and after one bad shot he was back to compactness. Modern Basu is compact from word go. You can't get him out by bowling negative any more. He has measure approach and it works. He is scoring consistently.
