Nirvanam Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Folks, I am done with the Contribution Analysis of the 16 ATG Test batsmen. I am attaching the excel sheet here for your review. Pls do go thru the excel file in case you find time. I'll write an article on the analysis once I take in the review inputs and present the final tables along with some charts.
Nirvanam Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 Alternatively, you can access it here - http://tinyurl.com/375zl7g I have uploaded an Open Office version as well here - http://tinyurl.com/2bn3exo

The best batsman produced by a minnow ever. I am quite positive that he'll trump everybody with ease.
Nirvanam Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 Folks, I have also uploaded a pdf file of the same. In the pdf file - page 1 is for review, page 2 and 3 are about the Project. From page 4, individual data starts. You will notice a blue colored pivot table on page 4...everytime you encounter such a table it means you have moved to the next sheet/player. Players and their sheets are named in alphabetical order - Barrington, Bradman, Chappell, Dravid, Gavaskar, Hammond, Hobbs, Hutton, Inzamam, Kallis, Lara, Miandad, Ponting, Richards, Sobers, Tendulkar here's the link - http://tinyurl.com/27vw3q8

Basically this analysis is primarily for the top ATG batsmen. Unless you feel Flower will make it to the Top 10 all time Test batsmen list ahead of any of these guys I'll keep Flower separately. Same reason why I haven't included Viru, Sanga, Border, and Waugh in there coz I don't think they have a claim to be ahead of these 16 just yet. One way to test this is to ask yourself will your batsman make it to the top 10 all time batsmen list. If he won't then its quite a lot of extra manual effort for me. But I promise you I'll have Flower's numbers for you...just gimme some time and I'll get back on that. Promise!
