Sachin=GOD Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Sreesanth in good bowling rhythm is excellent news prior to the SA series In both the matches, Sree has been very impressive with his 2nd spell, has bowled with good pace and hasn't tried to experiment too much. Good for us, as it provides an additional option for the ODIs and also helps make our test match bowling unit much more potent and dangerous. lets hope he keeps this rhythm consistently.

Anyone who says Sreesanth is a wicket taking bowler really doesn't know what he's taking about.I don't really know you dude, but it's pretty obvious when someone doesn't understand the basic concepts of bowling. If you're strill struggling with the basics of bowling concepts then maybe this thread isnt' for you kabira. :giggle:

I want a chat with you!!! looks like you spoke too soon. After a few very good spells in the first innings, Sreesanth went right back to his usual inconsistent spells in the 2nd. It was pretty pathetic watching a grown man fall apart because a few lbw shouts were turned down and the crowd started heckling him. Bowled rubbish after that and didn't take a single wicket even though SA were down 6 for a little more than 100. But I guess it could be worse. At least he didn't start crying on the pitch when the crowd started teasing him.

Kirsten/Prasad have routinely singled out Ishant as being one of the most hard working players in the team. While Donald was openly questioned Sree's work ethic, his habits, and Prasad also implied that. Also Ishant is a different type of bowler instead of swing one so he offers something different which is why he did so well in Australia and should be picked ahead of Sree in SA. Not to mention Ishant is ten times a better batsmen than Sree. Is more reliable because he's shown he can bowl through pain having taken cortesone injections while all Sree is good at is getting injured. I could go on. Sreesanth's attitude and theatrics, he gives away more boundaries, hasn't improved in 5 years while Ishant is still only learning his bowling, etc. ^:headshake:

First test: 24 overs 97 runs 0 wickets 2nd test: 22 overs 86 runs 4 wickets 3rd test: 53 overs 193 runs 5 wickets 9 wickets in three tests in pretty good bowling conditions where the new ball consistently swung/seamed with very good bounce and carry? Out of the four new ball bowlers from both sides, Sree had the worst economy, worst average (41), and worst strike rate (66). And at the same time gave away the most boundaries, was completely inconsistent again and wasted as many spells as he bowled decent ones. What are you mentally challenged? When the entire series was on the line on the 4th day with SA down to 6 wickets this guy completely chokes on the field, gets too involved in sledging and getting into incidents with the crowd and loses his bowling rhythym as a result. Pretty much exactly when the team needed Sreesanth to step up and bowl like a man he reverted back to a petulant, childish clown.

All I have to do is cut down the boundary balls, not give runs and help them. It was helpful conditions and if I could I would take this atmosphere all around. In my first over I was a bit lazy but I improved." Same old issues again and again with this clown. He'll bowl a few very good overs/spells then go right back down to being absolutely awful, with his over the top antics, constant weak abuse that scares no one, followed by crappy deliveries that speed away to the boundary.

When thrown with how many wickets he takes just used to mumble its only cos he bowls a lot of overs nonsense. Then has left Bhaji alone after he rammed the crtiticisms down his throat with brilliant performnaces. And now praises bhaji some times. Now targeted Sree with name calling and that has left him with egg on his face. Whose his next victim? All the indian player must be praying its them as it guarantees they will play well!:cantstop:

Fontaine man, Do you think a lazy man/player would really go and tell the press 'he feelsa bit lazy' ? You would be an excellent news reporter for the way you twisted the words. Go after the empty glass- ie Ishant for if he had bowled a few good spells like 'the donkey' we would now have won a historic test instead of drawing and losing ICC ranking points.

Tell us again how it was Sree's 'superb bowling' that ended up with him getting 9 wickets in three tests where there was genuine swing and seam on offer. But like always when countered with facts all you do is spout the usual nonsense only to crawl out of your hole when, once in a while Sree actually bowls a good spell. Congrats, you've proved what a clown you are. All of last year Sree was pretty much useless and you were sitting in the corner with a mouth full of STFU about the little donkey. Now that he has a couple of good spells along with some awful ones here you like a complete douche.

I pretty much agree with that too. But the bottom line is that one or two good spells here and there may be good enough for teams like Bangladesh, and other minnows. It's not good enough for a team aspiring to stay number 1. Isn't it about time that he grow up and start bowling like a real bowler instead of the up and usually down nonsense?

It's not good enough for a team aspiring to stay number 1. Was good enough to help us square the series against SAF at SAF and help us stay #1 with a non-factor called Ishant as the 3rd seamer. Don't you think he deserves some credit for removing 3 top bats of SAF in the crucial 2nd test, 2nd innings? We are talking Kallis, Smith and Amla here, not some minnow bats. I agree with you that he needs to get his act together, be consistent, etc, but I mean this is what he is and he isn't the worst bowler in the team.
