Ranjha Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I meant - given a choice to rest Dhoni in one of the formats - I reckon that would have to be Tests. I based my suggestion on - part of his overall impact in tests as a keeper-batsman. In ODI's he does have lot of impact as a package - captain-keeper-batsman. But in tests - he looks very replaceable in terms of those two skills. As for captaincy - I feel this tactician thing might a bit overrated - in tests. Since, with senior players around most of the tactics/strategies and stuff is a result of collective thinking / brain storming. Usually team takes the field with certain plan(s)/tactics. Perhaps he has a bit of edge over any other, as a captain. But in tests that may not be deciding factor. Besides this thinking-on-the-feet skill has better use/impact in ODIs/T20s. Don't you think playing ( that too as a captain) in all formats is a bit too much of a task? My proposal gives him chance to focus entirely on ODIs / T20s. I agree with you bud. I am just teasing some of Dhoni worshippers :--D

vaibhav_delhi Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 why kohli to be a future captain? He gotta score hundreds and cement his place first. I think he is the fastest guy to reach 1000 ODI runs in terms of no. of matches (37 i think)
vaibhav_delhi Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Yuvi has been treated like sh*t by BCCI...no doubt bout that....many players have been able to ride their out of form cycle without much questions being asked....but yuvi singh is always in limelight. I hope he let the bat do all the talking when time comes.....cant wait! lol. Ask Murli kartik, Badrinath and their fans.
Sir john Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 lol. Ask Murli kartik' date=' Badrinath and their fans.[/quote'] :((:((
