They also have no clue how the English tabloids works. Some of the statements that keeps coming out of the board are ludicrous to say the least.- first saying they had approached Maradona for the post, then saying Maradona is not a candidate, saying Sam was a great man, but they needed somebody young & English, then they said that the caretaker manager was not in the running and now saying yes he will be given a chance..absolutely no clue what they are talking about. It was a decision made by people who have no idea about the game. Allardyce couldn't have done any better than he did with Blackburn since he took over. With limited resources he steadied their ship and made them a solid unit. His rewards for doing the dirty work? Gets sacked.
